Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola created the 552 Floe Insel sofa for the Cassina line.
The sofa, having a design that is unique and stated, starts to take character in the space as a result of the material motion. The 552 Floe Insel sofa is characterized by strong and asymmetrical geometries, and it features seams that glide along the diagonals of the cushions and that draw cuts at an angle of 25 degrees. The elastic belts inside the tubular steel frame and the spaces inside the foam provide the illusion of this piece of furniture hovering in the room.
A three-seater seating system, chaise longue, or pouf can come to life thanks to the presence of separate pieces, which also make the volumes and cushioning very essential.
This unique and one-of-a-kind design supplement brings together a focus on both aesthetics and utility.
