Architect and designer Frank Lloyd Wright created the 623 Lewis Coffee Table for Cassina.
The planes of this unique coffee table are formed in such a way that they appear to be floating in the air, but in reality, they are bonded together to make a unified piece of furniture that is both coordinated and original in its design. Supporting vertical slabs are fitted into the perimeter parts of the rectangular surface and held together by a second rectangular panel that has been raised off the ground.
Solid wood is used as a finishing touch around the edges of cherry or walnut veneered tops, and each piece is varnished in a transparent semi-gloss finish.
The 623 Lewis Coffee Table features a one-of-a-kind and completely distinctive design that is capable of imbuing the space in which it is placed with a sense of vitality.
