Neri and Hu's The Common Comrades are a set of six playful objects that can be used as tables and stools and have a symbolic shape.

Allegorical, the six Common Companions symbolize the same number of characters that would have lived in a rural setting in the past. Everyone from the Emperor to the farmer to the merchant to the scholar to the seamstress to the tailor is represented here (Tailor).

Both of the coffee tables are constructed from solid birch wood and finished with a red lacquer. There is a section of natural-coloured wood exposed in each one.

The bases of the Emperor, Farmer, and Tailor tables are square, whereas those of the Merchant, Scholar, and Seamstress tables are circular.
