Ginestra Baxter

Brand: Baxter

Product category: Baxter Chairs

Designer: Antonino Sciortino

Availability: On request

In 2016, designer Antonino Sciortino created the Ginestra chair for the Baxter line, and it has since become a signature of the brand for its sophisticated yet utilitarian aesthetic.

A framework of galvanized metal rods painted in matt black forms the chair's structure. The fundamental circular part is divided into solids and voids to create a rhythmic and dynamic feel for the whole session; the structure is divided into precise geometric lines and graphic motifs. The backrest rises taller as a series of vertical pieces are stacked onto one another. The round padded seat can be upholstered in leather.

The dual version of the chair has an additional variation in which the supporting structure is built by a small number of basic lines and features a circular base that is not hollow but rather full and is finished in metal.

The Ginestra chair is typified as a symbolic object of everyday life because of its ability to integrate in harmony with its surroundings.
