Mini Papilio B&B Italia

The designer Naoto Fukasawa created the Mini Papilio chair for B&B Italia with the intention to merge art and design, conjugating the canons of compactness and lightness.

The soft, sinuous lines define a comfortable, elegant piece of furniture whose shape is inspired by the idea of a hug. The curved, enveloping lines of the cushions confirm this idea of comfort. The backrest has two bent side elements that continue into the base structure. The base is swivel and it features an automatic return-to-centre mechanism.

The metal zipper in the back part of the backrest makes the design of the chair even more precious and it is perfectly functional for the removal of the leather or fabric upholstery.
