Hans J. Wegner's CH22 Lounge Chair for Carl Hansen & Søn was reintroduced in 2016 after being out of production for decades.

Wegner's signature is evident in the large wooden backrest with visible plugs, and attention to detail is seen in the armrest support that embraces the side rail and extends under the armrest, providing solid support.

The characteristic paper cord seat weaves behind the frame and through a groove in the backrest rail. The front joints are hand-assembled, while modernization has allowed adapting the front legs to the same profile as the rear legs, following Wegner's original design. This preserved craftsmanship gives the chair the same authenticity as in the 1950s.
