Studiopepe created the Jupiter table in 2019 for Baxter.
The Jupiter table features a design that is characterized by substantial volumes as well as linear and precise geometries. The top of the rectangular table is finished along the lateral edges in a way that creates prominent uneven edges. Overlooking the statuesque bases that fill the room is a table composed of a honeycomb covered in nickel silver, copper, or antique brass. A cylindrical leg made of plywood with a waterproof and semi-deformable cementitious finish stands in contrast to an angular and uneven leg made of plywood with a stone finish, both of which attest to the skill of the Baxter craftsmen.
The material's natural tendency to adapt to its surroundings by undergoing slight transformations over time should be celebrated as a mark of the item's genuineness and individuality.
