Bourgeois Baxter

Description

In creating the Bourgeois table for Baxter, designers Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez focused on creating a piece with a minimal yet striking aesthetic.

The plywood base is coated in leather, and the leather-covered plywood top is the focal point of the room. As a living material, wood responds to its surroundings by mutating color and texture depending on factors like humidity and temperature. When solid wood is treated with oils and other all-natural ingredients, its hues will vary naturally and inevitably.

The versatility of this table is a result of its sleek, linear design, which works well in any context.

This piece of furniture is a perfect example of how minimalism and elegance can blend to produce a product that will last a long time.
