Tre Pezzi Cassina

Description

The Tre Pezzi armchair, part of the Cassina series, was designed by Franco Albini and Franca Helg in 1959. It exemplifies comfort in its purest form with its combination of simplicity and practicality.
This armchair is a contemporary take on the traditional French chair, which is distinguished by its high back and generous cushioning.

The important volumes of the padding are preserved in the design of the Tre Pezzi armchair, and each of the three basic materials that go into the construction of the armchair is given a specific role.
The seat's gradual increase in depth, along with the tubular element's flat and semi-circular shape, provides optimal lumbar support. The final component, a semi-circular headrest with spiral springs, accomplishes this synthesis of ergonomics, utility, and design.

One of the armchair's defining features is its frame, which is created by tubular steel folded over sinuous lines like the railing on Milan's subways.
Cassina has also reintroduced the armchair in an iconic and one-of-a-kind form with a black-painted frame and red-fabric cushion covering.
