The Bibliotheque Nationale floor lamp by Philippe Starck for Flos seems to be an encapsulation of the principles of minimalism and airiness that the designer sought to embody in his work.

Functional ergonomics and formal elegance come to life with furniture that is adaptable to all needs and types of furniture.

The light is diffused globally through a fabric-based system that, when paired with thermoplastic material and either a clear or smoked grey finish, emits light in a global manner.

Zinc alloy forms the supporting framework, which has a base in the shape of a square. The stainless-steel shelves are arranged in a linear fashion along the support rod, mimicking the curve of the base section as they spiral and stagger around it.

A USB charging port is built into the lamp's base for use with compatible electronics.
