Description
The Alcor table that was created by Antonio Citterio for Maxalto displays a design that is very linear and primary in nature.
The configurations of the top are typically square or rectangular, displaying the linear simplicity of the shapes and volumes. The wooden base is given character by a checkerboard pattern re-created there in honour of the high-end cabinetry produced by the Maxalto brand.
The frame is made of aluminium, which is both lightweight and strong, so it can easily be used to support a variety of other furniture pieces. Together, the straight metal base and the well-crafted cabinets on top form a sleek and sophisticated whole.
