Chester Poltrona Frau

With its typical sofas and armchairs, early-20th-Century England inspired Renzo Frau so deeply that he decided to create a model based on what he had seen: the result of the great entrepreneur’s research was Chester Armchair, a model that was so perfect and rich that it became one of the most recognised historical icons of Poltrona Frau’s production and, more generally, of Italian design.

The luxurious tufting that characterises the inner part of the armrests and backrest and the front part of the base of the seating is combined with an original pleated decor, which enriches the front part of the armrests.

Chester Armchair is upholstered in fine Pelle Frau® leather. The structure is in beech wood and the padding is in horsehair and, for the seat cushion, in goose down.
