DU 55 Armchair, designed by Gastone Rinaldi in 1954 for brand Poltrona Frau, impresses for its highly innovative and richly evocative aesthetics. The armchair is supported by four steel conic feet and its seat is slightly inclined. The armrests, supported only from one side of the seat, continue in the backrest, which appears floating in the air. The empty space that derives from such a design remarkably characterises the armchair’s appearance.

DU 55 features a steel base structure and a synthetic padding. Its upholstery can be in fabric or in various Pelle Frau® leather variants.
