The excellence of Lema wardrobes is rooted in a long-standing artisanal tradition, dating back to the 1930s in Arosio near Como, when Angelo Meroni opened a workshop specializing in wooden furniture. From that first artisanal experience, the Lema company was established in 1970, still led today by the Meroni family. The collaboration with important Italian architects, including Angelo Mangiarotti, and a vision oriented toward innovation, have helped define the DNA of a brand that has made customisation and industrial quality its defining features.
Lema was a pioneer in Italy in developing a load-bearing side panel system, and in 1981 launched one of its most iconic products: the Armadio al Centimetro, a tailor-made wardrobe system designed to fit perfectly into any space, requirement, or style. This modular wardrobe system has over the years become a symbol of Lema’s identity, thanks to its total configurability in terms of dimensions, finishes, accessories, and door types.
