Ceccotti Collezioni is among the most recognised brands of furniture in the world for the quality and original design of its furnishings and accessories. Over time, traditional manual techniques have encountered the eclectic styles and cultures of various designers to define the company’s personality more specifically. Today, it is one of the most important producers of handcrafted luxury furniture. At our Bredaquaranta showroom in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan), you will find the most iconic pieces and the latest creations from Ceccotti Collezioni, in addition to a team of experts who can assist you in choosing the furniture that best fits your needs.
The history of Ceccotti Collezioni starts in 1956 when the ancient practice of traditional Tuscan craftsmanship was channelled into the company Ceccotti Aviero. Originally dedicated to producing home furnishings, and later specialising in hotel furniture, the company began working with some of the most famous international chains, including Trusthouse Forte in London, which allowed them to distribute their products all over the world. What set Ceccotti Collezioni apart was its unique quality and the complexity of its creations. Its furniture is made of solid wood with time-tested Tuscan traditional techniques of highly specialised carpenters. The company reached the height of its growth in 1986, when the famous architect and theorist of “post modern” design, Paolo Portoghesi, helped create a range of pieces that are now icons of the Ceccotti catalogue. One distinguishing feature of the Ceccotti production is the tendency to experiment with new forms and materials deriving from the eclectic and surrealistic world of Gaudì, Mollino, and Scandinavian design from the 1950s.
In recent years, sustainability has become an important factor for everyone: Ceccotti sees taking care of the environment as a duty and is committed to reducing its impact as much as possible by using renewable energy and recyclable packaging materials, and by optimising its production phases to reduce waste to a minimum. The wood comes from managed forests, in which harvested trees are replaced quickly with newly planted trees to ensure reforestation. Today, Ceccotti Collezioni is recognized all over the world in sector of luxury interior design, thanks to its ability to create exclusive and elite products with unique and incredible complexity and original design.
Among the most famous Ceccotti products is the Chumbera Segunda chair, an authentic mix of contemporary design and artisan expertise. Inspired by the art of Gaudì, Mollino and Dalì, the backrest, legs, and armrests are fitted together and finished by hand to create a single piece with soft curved and harmonious forms. The Buonanotte Valentina bed is another of the brand’s icons, thanks to its unique light design. What makes it original is its wooden headboard made from a series of parallel horizontal lines enclosed in a frame of solid American walnut.
