Over a century has passed since Poltrona Frau first entered the high-end Made-in-Italy furniture segment and, now, this milestone is celebrated with a video about the Poltrona Frau Museum.
This magical and intriguing place tells the story of the brand’s history in 1400 m2 of exhibition space. The Poltrona Frau Museum opened seven years ago, and in that time, it has become one of the symbolic locations of the brand.
Many visitors have enjoyed the museum, which paints a faithful portrait of the world of Poltrona Frau. Today, the museum is being relaunched to give everyone the chance to discover a new type of “museum” - where NOT touching the exhibits is prohibited! – the curious can “peek” inside before coming to explore it in person, in the centre of the Marche region.
The video was inspired by the pieces designed and interpreted by the expert designer Michele De Lucchi, and these images have been made into a touching film.
Opened in 2012, the year of the company’s 100th anniversary, the museum follows the timeline of Poltrona Frau step by step. The company started in Turin from an innovative idea and the expert hands of Renzo Frau, and then moved to city of Tolentino at the beginning of the 1960s.
In addition to relaunching the Poltrona Frau museum, this new video revisits the company’s long history made up of timeless icons, innovations, and unmistakable styles and shapes.
