Alma Design is taking part this week in the Salone del Mobile di Milano with many new products. The exhibition hinges on the two new furnishing collections by Marco Piva: Magenta and Scala.
The first was inspired by the typical neighbourhoods of Porta Magenta in Milan, locations of elegant, refined homes with a touch of contemporary lifestyle. However, magenta is also a colour - decisive and full - that sets off some of the pieces in the collection and emphasises materials and textures.
Magenta features a modular sofa, lunch and dining tables, living room sofas, a chair and a small armchair. The materials featured in the collection are: metals in different finishes, glass, wood, decorated fabrics and velvets.
The Scala collection, on the other hand, has a more “fashionable” image that plays quite a lot on shapes, materials and fabrics. In this way, it celebrates the city of Milan as the absolute capital of Fashion and Design.
At this edition of Salone del Mobile, a first selection of furnishings will be presented, including an armchair and living room tables, but at a later time, a wider range of products will be made available. The main feature of this collection is the pleated velvet upholstery on the armchair, as precise and elegant as a custom-made suit from one of the top fashion houses.
Both collections adapt perfectly to refined homes, and are an authentic representation of Milan’s unique and elegant way of life.
