Natuzzi was founded in 1959, 60 years ago, inspired by the spirit and unique nature of its homeland - Apulia - thanks to the creative genius of its founder, Pasquale Natuzzi. Today, under the guidance of its creative director, Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, who is continuing the family business tradition, Natuzzi is internationally recognised as a lifestyle brand that has created new furnishing trends.
This is why the brand decided to celebrate this important milestone, its 60th anniversary, at such a special event, the Salone del Mobile in Milano.
Natuzzi Italia used the 2019 edition of Milano Design Week to present its work to the public - the tireless research and in-depth knowledge of identity that has led it to where it is at this point in time, in its most authentic and intense meaning.
The concept behind its exhibition project was the idea that beauty can be achieved only if ethics and aesthetics coincide. This conviction opens the way for a more harmonious system of rules, which are in total accord with nature.
The perfect example of the brand’s long journey during its many years of business can be seen in the bedroom collection Ergo, developed by Ross Lovegrove.
The Ergo chaise longue, for example, could be a sort of primordial but futuristic “refuge”, with a sober and fluid shape. Other pieces in the collection share these forms, such as the bed and the pendant lamp, which looks like an ethereal cloud.
The new Dandy collection by Marcel Wanders is another example. These living room pieces are a balance between the typical Apulian atmosphere and the metropolitan environment, and was inspired by the desire to return to their origins.
Another interesting project is Cava, a modular living room system designed by Mauro Lipparini. It features different types of seating, shelves, crystal tables and a valet stand with a metal frame.
And these are just a few of the new proposals presented by Natuzzi for its 60th anniversary during Design Week. Many other interesting new products in the collection will be presented later on. For now, we’d like to extend a warm invitation to come to our Bredaquaranta showroom, since we are a retailer of the brand, to see what Natuzzi has to offer. We look forward to seeing you!
