The designer Dodo Arslan has decided to pay tribute to one of the most illustrious founders of modern architecture - Oscar Niemeyer - by creating an exclusive lamp for the brand Terzani. The new product has a round shape and modern design.
As the famous architect once said about his work: “I’m not attracted to the right angle or the straight line. Rigid, inflexible and man-made. What truly captures my attention is the free, sensuous curve. The curve that I see in a sinuous river course, in the clouds in the sky, or on the body of your favourite woman. The universe is entirely made of curves ” – and therefore the new lamp named after him, Oscar, has sensuous round curves.
In this way, light evokes the distinctive features of Niemeyer’s architecture and also offers an extra touch of modernity that enhances any room.
Oscar by Terzani is a table lamp made up of a glass sphere delicately held by curved polished brass.
