Nodus, a timeless specialist of handmade carpets that combines artisan practices with cutting-edge techniques, has presented some Limited Editions of its pieces. This collection is unique in terms of style, materials and processes.
One of the more interesting limited edition carpets is “Japanese Folklore”, a creation by the Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon.
It is a hand-knotted carpet in pure Chinese wool and silk that stands out for its exclusive surface patterns, inspired by typical Asian art.
The designer used a technique that touches parallel points of different disciplines such as art, decoration and design to create a unique and recognizable style.
It is no coincidence that Hayon’s exclusive style has been displayed at the famous David Gill Gallery in London, followed by several exhibitions and installations in the world’s most prestigious galleries and museums.
Japanese Folklore contains 200 knots, for a total of 250x350 cm2 in diameter and 5mm in height. The delicate, pale colours of the decorative motifs render the surface precious and perfect for the most essential and refined furnishing schemes.
