Load-it by Porro for Best of Year Award 2021

Load-it is the iconic bookcase made by Porro that can fulfil several different functions every day. It’s made with thin L-shaped shelves in high resistance steel.

This product is a candidate for the Best of Year Award 2021 of the American magazine Interior Design, in the section dedicated to new editions.

Load-it was created by Wolfgang Tolk in 1995 with characteristic protruding shelves that seem to cut through space. It is a classic Porro piece that has retained its strong appeal and icon status through the years, taking on new functions and design possibilities in the process.

This piece originally had completely white shelves and backs to make books and other objects look like they were floating in midair. Today, it has been enhanced with adjustable spotlights and a touch switch to turn it on and off.
