The Cappellini brand is unveiling a new version of the Daybed featuring an updated design, different materials and new upholstery.
Cappellini and the British designer Jasper Morrison have enjoyed a prolific inspiration-filled collaboration for many years. One of their first pieces was the Thinking Man’s Chair from the ’80s, and that led to several other products which became brand icons.
Daybed is now available in two splendid models: the sofa and the dormeuse, with playful roller cushions and square throw pillows to position as desired. This new edition has a structure in solid fir wood, poplar plywood and birch plywood, and a base in natural diecast aluminium.
Daybed exhibits a typical aspect of Morrison’s creative style, or rather the passion for fun objects that are also simple and timeless. This type of original design is found today through the use of many new fabrics and hi-tech upholsteries.
