B&B Italia and the 50th Anniversary of Le Bambole

B&B Italia is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Le Bambole, created by the famous architect and product designer Mario Bellini. They have presented a radically renovated version, which has still managed to retain the product’s original appeal. Iconic armchairs have evolved thanks to new design choices that have made them more comfortable and sustainable.

“We’ve retained the charm and the sumptuous fullness and softness of the cushions,” said Mario Bellini, which has made the product even more contemporary, increasingly feminine, and more curvier.

The new range offers confirmation of original concepts along with new aspects: the Bambola armchair, the Bibambola loveseat, and the Bamboletto bed - a double bed ante litteram. The new three-seat sofa has deeper seats and its name is Granbambola.

Now, these products are made with modern materials: recycled polyethylene, a sustainable and 100% recyclable structure, and fabrics with irregular and three-dimensional weaves.
