Playful Serpentine Light by Moooi

Serpentine Light is a new suspension lamp by Moooi that combines the playfulness of shapes and the best lighting design. This product aims to amaze with elaborate twists and turns that create an intriguing illusion of perpetual movement.

It was designed by Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren, from the Swedish firm Front, and they tell the story of how they came up with the idea for Serpentine Light while playing with a piece of paper in a state of tension.

The concept of this new Moooi luminaire is founded completely on an S-curve twisted to create cones or waves to form an interesting and amusing focal point.
Serpentine Light has four S-shapes, made in non-woven fabric, twisted into cones and modelled together to create an intricate form that is striking and memorable.

The infinite upwards spiral uses translucent material to spread and diffuse light uniformly throughout the room.
