Created to be ready-made, the To-Tie collection (based on the concept of tying or fastening) by Flos was created with three simple elements: a wire, a bar, and a cylinder held together with mechanical tension alone.
The perceptions of the Castiglioni brothers live on in a tabletop lamp designed by Poletti. This lamp plays around with soft light and a transparent glass cylinder available in different sizes.
The aluminium handle of the lamp houses a high-performance LED light source that will last over 50,000 hours. The excellence of this project is expressed through the remarkable structure of To-Tie, which allows each component to perform multiple functions.
The Flos lamp is also a sustainable project oriented towards the future, since the various components are assembled without glues. Therefore, this product can be dismantled as needed to easily replace individual parts or to separate the various materials for recycling.
