Paolo Castelli's New Social Media Campaign

The campaign for the Paolo Castelli brand tells the story of the Morandi Collection, a tribute to the great artist Giorgio Morandi from Bologna. Exquisitely introspective, almost to the point of being spiritual, this concept explores below the surface of the visible world in search of something supreme.

In 2020, the Paolo Castelli brand created a capsule collection for Bologna Musei inspired by objects made by this artist.

Morandi liked bottles, vases, boxes, bowls, and lanterns, which were never just simple utensils when he created them. This concept is part of the modern collection. Through art, these objects carried on a personal battle against ephemeral objects, with a touch of rituality and care bordering on sacredness.

The campaign uses flashes, continuous lighting in a particular set that plays on the combination of light and shadows to give a sense of depth and personality to the subjects. Mirrors, pale colours, and new perspectives enhance the peculiar characteristics of the collection. These photos are by SPAZIO LABO’, a photography studio in Bologna.
