Himba by Baxter: Colonize the Outdoors and Reinterpret Interiors
For Baxter, Roberto Lazzeroni has created an impressive project that is both playful and creative. He has called it the Himba collection.
These complements were designed to “inhabit” outdoor spaces, with their natural sanded iroko wood in an oiled finish to increase resistance. They are perfect for renewing the profile of a garden, a patio, or a swimming pool lounge area, also during the colder seasons. For indoor environments, on the other hand, we have solid ash wood with a sanded black finish.
The diverse, vibrant grain conveys strength and spirituality while defining the silhouette of sofas, armchairs, and tables of all sizes.
“For Baxter, I wanted to make furniture with an organic, sculptural form,” said the designer.
The Himba collection has an impressive sense of lightness and compactness: smooth armrests of chairs and cots, their solid dynamic legs, tops upholstered in leathers and fabrics designed to be scenographic with a touch of zen, and convey a sense of primitive Africanism.
