Borealis Screen by Giorgetti Wins Interior Design's Best Of Year

Interior Design’s Best of Year is the main awards programme of the design industry. It acknowledges designers, architects, and manufacturers from all over the world.
The 17th edition of the “Accessories” category was awarded to the splendid Borealis screen, which we have presented here before. The screen was designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Giorgetti.
Borealis stands out for its interesting intertwined pattern that forms a creative, semi-transparent effect produced by folding a single leather strip curved and draped to mimic the patterns of northern lights.

Offered in the 2022 Collection, it is a functional work of art that has a strong decorative personality, and a testimonial of the craftsmanship of the Giorgetti brand. It manifests all of the values of Italian manufacturing that the company has built through over a century of tradition, demonstrating the company’s care and know-how with hand-sewn and finished strips of leather.
