B&B Italia: 50th Anniversary of Le Bambole in Shanghai

In collaboration with the design firm MHPD of Shanghai, B&B Italia is celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Le Bambole” with a lively takeover event at Hao Market, a lifestyle destination inside a residential villa in the central neighbourhood of Jing'an. The pop-up space was conceived to be an indoor sculpture park in the centre of Jing'an to allow visitors to “experience” Le Bambole.

The Shanghai pop-up store also displays the exclusive capsule collection Le Bambole by Stella McCartney, officially presented for Art Basel in Miami. This immersive installation features the Bambole armchair with printed fabric upholstery called “Fungi Forest”, designed by hand and featured in Stella McCartney’s runway collection for Summer 2022.

It’s an important occasion for the brand, which tells its own story through a playful, creative installation that invites visitors to imagine B&B Italia in any room in the house without preconceived notions.
