New Colours and Materials for Thonet Outdoor Classics

Thonet is offering updated colours and materials for this summer, with new models for the outdoor collection and classic models redesigned to withstand all weather conditions. These pieces are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

Tubular steel classics from the historic Bauhaus movement reinvent themselves for every season with the Thonet Outdoor line. For this collection, the brand chose the S 33 and S 34 cantilever chairs by Mart Stam, the B 9 coffee tables, the S 35 lounge chair by Marcel Breuer and the S 533 cantilever chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

“The goal was to create a functional collection that was suitable all year round, regardless of the weather,” says Miriam Püttner, project manager for the Thonet Design Team.

“The tubular steel icons we selected for this project offer great creative freedom,” she adds. All new Thonet Outdoor models are durable thanks to exposed concrete or HPL tops and a UV and marine resistant “Thonet Protect®” finish.
