Barovier &Toso Lights Up the Grand Palais in Paris
Several of Barovier&Toso’s creations, including chandeliers and pendant lamps, have been used to decorate the exhibition “Dal cuore alle mani” at the Grand Palais in Paris, open until 31 March, 2025. After its success at Palazzo Reale in Milan, the exhibition has been renewed with the title Du Coeur à La Main: Dolce&Gabbana, to celebrate a unique blend of fashion and artisan tradition.
The exhibition presents 17 luminous works of art by Barovier&Toso, such as the majestic 4607 chandelier with multi-coloured flowers made of glass paste; the Agadir chandelier, with Moroccan-style spiral lines; and Venice 1295, embellished with Ercole Barovier’s famous “rostrato technique”. The lavish Taif, designed by Angelo Barovier, also stands out with an impressive 12-light structure.
Curated by Florence Müller with sets by Agence Galuchat, the exhibition interweaves Dolce&Gabbana’s luxury tailoring with Barovier&Toso’s Murano glass excellence to give visitors a singular experience that celebrates Italian craftsmanship and creativity. It’s a triumph of the extensive depth and refined elegance of “Made in Italy”.
