The Dalila Chair by Gaetano Pesce for Cassina: The Outdoor Version

The iconic Dalila chair by Cassina, designed by Gaetano Pesce, returns in a new version designed for outdoor spaces. The project stems from meticulous research by Cassina in collaboration with Studio Pesce, which has revisited two of the three models originally designed in 1980, adapting them to outdoor settings.

The Dalila garden chair combines a steel structure with soft, rounded volumes in flexible expanded polyurethane, covered with a thin elastomeric layer. Available with or without armrests, the chair is distinguished by its sinuous forms, designed to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience.

The chair is made using a production technique that minimises joints, highlighting the continuity of the surfaces and the clean lines of the design. The palette now includes colours such as blue, beige, red and green, selected to coordinate with the other furnishings in the Cassina Outdoor Collection. Dalila interprets Pesce’s visionary language through a contemporary design that is particularly suited to open-air spaces.
