After its stunning success at the last edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan in April, Natuzzi Italia, along with LG Electronics, has decided to bring its new SMART LIVING project to IFA Berlin 2018, the hallmark fair of technology, as well as one of the oldest fairs in Germany.
The joint Natuzzi Italia – LG project was present at the event from 31 August to 5 September and became very successful due its extraordinary level of revolutionary innovation.
Smart Living is based on the important Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which involves interaction between furniture and technological accessories. In this case, the essential sofa Colosseo, designed by Mauro Lipparini for Natuzzi Italia, was programmed to interact with a few of the top range products from the LG Signature line.
In particular, the Colosseo sofa connects to LG Signature devices present in the home - such as the television, air purifiers, the Artificial Intelligence speaker and the LG smart light bulbs.
What actually happens in this interaction is that a voice assistant recognises the voices of users (who must formulate precise requests for action from the objects) to permit them to command the lights, the TV, the air purifier and the sofa (inclination of seat and backrest cushions) to do what they wish.
This happens in three personalised scenarios (reading, rest, watching TV), or to fit the needs of the specific consumer.
Lastly, the dedicated smartphone app allows users to easily monitor and control all of the products connected.
This is an authentic revolution, with Natuzzi in the forefront, putting its products in a position to experiment with latest generation technologies.
