Mix Chair & Propeller Stool by Carl Hansen & Søn

For the 90th anniversary of the Mix chair and the Propeller stool by Kaare Klint, the brand Carl Hansen & Søn is offering a limited edition that combines Klint’s precise minimalistic design with a playful, colourful modern approach.

Kaare Klint is known as the father of Danish Modern style, and in collaboration with his student Edvard Kindt-Larsen, he created the "Mix" armchair, which was produced immediately. The Mix chair earned icon status among collectors as soon as it came out in 1930. It was an authentic exercise in sophisticated geometry.On the other hand, the Propeller was too complex at the time and had to wait until 1962 to be produced.

Originally, these pieces were available only in natural solid wood but today the limited edition comes in lacquered versions with strikingly trendy fabric upholstery.
