Sculptural Curves: Peg Bed by Capellini
The Peg Bed presents sinuous curves and an incomparably modern and flexible image.
It’s part of the collection designed by the Japanese firm Nendo, a collective of professionals led by the architect Oki Sato. Nendo offers a refined alternative to the self-celebratory and self-referential design scene.
The Peg bed has a distinctive characteristic: the curved lines that form the headboard and the turned solid ash wood feet (available in a bleached, oak, wenge or black finish). This headboard can easily become the main attraction of a comfortable and functional bedroom. In the same product family, we find the lovely peg chair, small and designed to be used with a table. It was inspired by the tiny cars, like the Fiat 500, that travel nimbly through the streets of Milan.
The Cappellini brand also has many other successful products made in collaboration with Nendo, such as the double-sided Drop bookshelves, the Koeda and Tuta clothes hangers, the Ribbon stools and the Bambi table.
