Harbor Laidback: the B&B Italia Armchair at Villa Necchi Campiglio
The Harbor Laidback armchair designed by Naoto Fukasawa for B&B Italia in 2021 has transformed relaxing into an art at the lovely Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan. This revolutionary masterpiece redefines the concept of comfort while preserving the heritage of the iconic Harbor armchairs. It shares their characteristic upside-down truncated cone shape and harmonious lines.
This armchair is mounted on a swivel 4-star base in aluminium equipped with a sophisticated hidden mechanism that allows synchronized movement of the backrest and seat. The control of this movement is intuitive, thanks to a lever placed between the cushion and the armrest. After reaching the desired position, the lever can be released to block the backrest. The seat moves imperceptibly to increase comfort.
The adjustable headrest and coordinated footrest complete the chair, with elegant stitching on the upholstery that looks like handcrafted saddle stitching. The hinge on the backrest underscores the harmony of the Harbor family. This armchair adapts perfectly to different types of rooms - from domestic luxury rooms to workplaces - to offer comfort and unmatchable style.
