Hans J. Wegner's CH44 Lounge Chair, created in 1965 for Carl Hansen & Søn, embodies the essence of simplicity. Crafted from premium solid wood with a sturdy paper cord seat, this chair can be customized with optional seat and back cushions.

The chair features Wegner's distinctive joints between the front legs and arms, along with grooves on the back legs designed to accommodate a back cushion. The elegant arms rise upward, gradually becoming thinner, lending grace to the vertical articulation. The minimalist design of CH44 pays homage to the principles of Shaker furniture, which also inspired Wegner's CH46 and CH47 chairs.
