B&B Italia Celebrates 15 Years of Outdoor Collections

It was 2007 when Canasta, the first outdoor line by B&B Italia, was introduced. This splendid line of unique seating products, designed by Patricia Urquiola, attracted attention from all sides and paved the way for this product line.

The Canasta outdoor chair looked light, almost transparent and luminous. It set the characteristics for the outdoor furniture that followed: environmentally conscious hi-tech products with surprisingly natural textures. In 15 years, a total of 13 illustrious international designers have contributed to creating the brand’s 40 collections, all iconic and different in taste and use.

This success story features B&B Italia as the first company in its category to decide to launch a line of outdoor furniture, and thus take the intrinsic qualities of an indoor collection into the garden to replicate the same level of excellence without giving up beauty and design.
