Ayana Outdoor Sofa by B&B Italia

B&B Italia has created Ayana, the innovative outdoor sofa with its cosy minimalistic style, in two and three-seat versions. This slender and essential sofa is made mainly of teak wood. Ayana is green: the teak used for the structure is FSC® certified and all the other construction materials were conceived for precise recycling.

The depths and heights are a clear hint to the traditions of southeast Asia, the place where designer Naoto Fukasawa comes from. He has expressed his creativity in different sectors, such as precision electronics and interior design.

However, the backrest of Ayana looks similar to the wall bars used for exercising, a solution that creates an elegant interplay of crossbars and proportions while making the sofa easy to place in the centre of a room.

The armrest can be accented with a cushion that is easy to hook on and remove, so that the sofa can be used for napping.
