MDF Italia: the Iconic and Essential Tense Collection

“Design by simplifying, to get to the essence of things.” This was the starting point for designers Piergiorgio and Michele Cazzaniga when they created the Tense collection for MDF. It’s a family of tables with clean, essential shapes that are nevertheless able to convey strong personality to any room. They have become brand icons. This idea emerged in 2009, and it has been developed in different dimensions, finishes and heights: coffee tables, consoles, and a versatile dining table.

Tense encompasses the style of the two product designers, who are always seeking to create functionality with minimal use of materials. A minimal table is “stretched” like the internal traction of a table top that can be up to 4 meters long to fulfil the requirements of the most demanding meeting rooms. Exquisite technological details and a choice of single-material legs and tops provide a truly contemporary experience.
