One Block Down Partners with Cassina for "The Right Chair"

Cassina and One Block Down are working together again to present a new interpretation of the iconic chair Leggera. Considered an authentic classic of contemporary design, the Leggera chair designed by Gio Ponti in 1951 is a timeless symbol of Italian creativity.

The third step in the partnership between Cassina and One Block Down also marks the peculiarities of these two brands: Cassina’s rich history of experimentation, research and development and One Block Down’s passion for the history of design and cultural objects.

During the 2023 edition of Milano Design Week, a limited edition of the Leggera Outdoor was launched. It has a particular hydroformed stainless steel structure with an unfinished surface, showing visible welds to accentuate the essentiality of the shape and materials. The result shows how the surfaces have small distinctive markings resulting from the artisan production process, which convey added value to the production history of each individual chair.
