Tom Dixon's New Melt Lamps

Melt is a family of lamps that expresses Tom Dixon’s experiments with light and the vacuum effect.

Melt Chrome appears at its highest splendour as a “distorted” luminous globe, the result of a collaboration with FRONT, a Swedish collective that does radical design.

Melt Portable LED, the table lamp, expands the collection to offer the same charming blown glass effect inside of a smart design. Melt seems to evoke molten glass. Inside, it has the look of melting ice or, from another angle, images from deep space. LED light sources offer three advantages: duration, energy efficiency, and improved performance in dimming and light control. This collection is produced in Germany and it is available in the colours Copper, Chrome, and Smoke.

The same product family contains a large round chandelier, with two Melt suspension lamps and three Mini Melts in modern gold finish. Even when it is turned off, it transmits all of its mirror finish splendour.
