Bloque and Cenote, Bathroom Collections by Urquiola for Agape
The Agape bathroom furnishings designed by Patricia Urquiola include the Cenote column washbasin made of refractory clay and the Bloque bathroom unit in stone and wood. With these creations, the Spanish designer is exploring the different possibilities of expression through natural materials such as clay, stone, and wood.
The Cenote column washbasin combines its distinctive circular sink with a linear column, which creates architectural and material-related harmony. Both elements were hand-made on a potter’s wheel, out of natural or dark refractory clay, which gives them a textured artisan-made surface. The washbasins are available in two sizes and with two exterior finishes.
The Bloque washbasin unit is a suspended system made up of shelves and containers mounted in a staggered composition of juxtaposed and perpendicular surfaces. The result is dynamic and playful. Its essential, ductile design makes it possible to use the units in different styles and also in contract setting.
