A Colourful Display of Lights: Contardi Makes the Hoxton Hotel in Rome Shine

Contardi’s lights shine at the Hoxton Roma, the tenth member of the hotel chain located in the Parioli district in the centre of the Eternal City. Created by the London-based design team Ennismore, the furniture project pays homage to the Dolce Vita and the Rome of the 1950s.

Contardi created lamps especially for the Hoxton Roma. They wanted new objects and icons, fashioned with ecology in mind, that could interpret mid-century modern style.

They have fashioned striking customised hanging lamps which have a geometric structure finished in dark bronze with contrasting glass globes. Organic elements characterise the interior: wood and stone interact with majestic lacquered beams.

Each bedroom is unique, decorated with a colourful mix of furniture and fine details. The rooms feature custom-made boiserie panels and headboards, and coordinated fabric lampshades with visible stitching and decorative finishes, all enhanced by light fixtures made by Contardi.
