Melt Portable LED Lamp by Tom Dixon

Melt Portable LED by Tom Dixon expands the brand’s successful range created in 2019. It keeps the enchanting aesthetic of blown glass, but in a more compact and portable form. This mini version offers up to 10 hours of battery life and is offered in various refined finishes such as copper, silver and gold.

With its molten sphere design and diffused light, the rechargeable Melt Portable LED lamp captures the imagination of the most distracted passer-by. Its distorted polycarbonate lampshade was designed in collaboration with the Swedish design collective FRONT.

Created through an innovative vacuum blowing and metallization process, the Melt line produces an unusually generous amount of light. These lamps offer vast reflectivity and transparency, the result of years of research and development with industry experts.

Melt simultaneously evokes the effect of red-hot molten glass and melting ice in spatial scenarios with organic and imperfect aesthetics.

The Melt series also includes pendant lamps, table lamps, floor lamps and other models, which all carry the enchantment of blown glass and a natural, warm brightness.
