Ares Maxalto

The Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio created the Ares table for Maxalto.

The table's basic design and sharp, asymmetrical edges are a perfect example of how art and technology can work hand in hand. Many people can comfortably sit at the large rectangular tabletop and enjoy conversation.
The top is offered in a choice of two sizes as well as several distinct finishes.
The table's framework is made up of four separate parts: two sets of base systems placed at the table's side and central ends. These parts do not intersect but rather overlap to form an X that widens outward as it approaches the floor.

Not only does the Ares table's design allude to conventional wood grain and craftsmanship, but it also alludes to the dramatic construction approach.
