Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand reissued their classic LC3 armchair for Cassina in the form of the LC3 Exemplaire Personnel.
The armchair has become a design metaphor owing to its small size, precise symmetry, and linear volumes, which make it amenable to ongoing formal and aesthetic alterations. When compared to the traditional steel chrome plating of the base model, the blue or green hues of the latter are enhanced by the addition of a panel at the base of the tubular supporting structure.
The armchair's key padding is now made of feathers, and it's upholstered in dark grey leather for a fresh new look. The new components are a wonderful addition, as their design goes hand in hand with that of the framework.
The LC3 Exemplaire Personnel armchair is the epitome of form meeting function.
