Albini Desk Knoll

The Albini Desk was designed in 1928 by Franco Albini, renowned architect, urban planner and designer, exponent of the Italian rationalist movement. Introduced into the Knoll catalogue in 1949, the desk is a highly representative example of an aesthetic of transparency, simplicity of shape and celebration of material.

The Albini Desk’s structure is made with steel square tubes with a chrome finish, tempered glass top and two drawers in ebonised oak or white lacquer.

Free of any added ornament, the desk stands out for the balanced combination of materials and for the impeccable clarity of shape. Since almost one century, it has been an icon of elegant minimalism.
