Cesca Side Chair Knoll

The Cesca Side Chair, designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928 and produced by Knoll, is one of the first items created with a tubular design. Its shape, defined by a steel tube, includes a cantilever structure: the tube’s continuity connects the backrest to the seat, which is supported only from the front by the tube portions that reach the floor.

The steel structure has a chrome finish. The seat and the backrest are padded in foam and they can be upholstered in a variety of materials. Alternatively, they can be made with wood frames and hand woven cane. Cesca Side Chair is available with or without arms.
