The MR Lounge Chair, produced by Knoll, is an object of remarkable historical importance. Born from the mind of celebrated Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, it has an almost magical presence, which gives an aura of particular refinement to any room.
The seat and the backrest, parts of a continuous structure, are supported only from one side and they appear to float in the air. The soft curve of the lower part softens the shape and it reminds of the aesthetics of ancient rocking chairs. The cushion, upholstered in luxurious leather with a quilted structure, embodies the essence of relaxation through a noble shape and it is connected to the chromed steel tube by leather belts. The lounge chair can be with or without arms.
Designed around 1927, the MR Lounge Chair still maintains its evergreen charm.
